Development Program Intern

 

Duties/Job Description: The intern will assist with all aspects of donor/development management for a national non-profit.  Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:

    1. Donor database management
    2. Assist with creation of Development Plan
    3. Research Corporate Gift Matching Campaigns
    4. Research Foundation Grant criteria to aid in fund application process
    5. Formulate and organize a Grant Schedule
    6. Assist Development team with any special event planning
    7. Organize and coordinate donor communication and acknowledgement with the help of development team

Hours:  SuperSibs! headquarters is open Monday through Friday from 9am-5:30pm.  The student is expected to work during business hours and will coordinate the schedule, according to SuperSibs!’ needs and that of the students academic schedule.  It is important that the student is able to commit to a consistent, weekly schedule. 

Requirements: The student should be familiar with or able to learn research and marketing skills.  Additionally, she or he must have good communication skills and be able to work with a diverse group of potential donors from varying backgrounds.  Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook are desirable. 

Compensation: All intern positions at SuperSibs! are UNPAID.  However, each student will learn valuable leadership skills and team building, while working at a national level in the non-profit world.  This experience is invaluable for anyone interested in entering the non-profit workforce.
