How Your Religious Community Can Help SuperSibs!
Religious and spiritual organizations and communities can make a significant impact helping SuperSibs! continue our mission to support siblings. It costs approximately $80 to support each sibling in our program (and we receive over 330 newly referred siblings to our program EACH MONTH). We need your help!
Check out SuperSibs! Clergy Resources Education & Support Tools (CREST). This information is designed in a "flyer" format and is easy to distribute to your religious community.
Here are a few more ways that your religious organization or community can help ensure that no vulnerable sibling is turned away without SuperSibs! caring support.
- Choose SuperSibs! (or encourage your youth group, caring community or adult social action group to do so) as a preferred charity for fundraising opportunities. Selling inspirational t-shirts, collecting pocket change, hosting a bowl-a-thon (or any “a-thon”), cooking a pancake breakfast or monthly Sips for Sibs soda sales proceeds are just a few of the myriad creative ideas you can implement – or contact us for many other options! Your temple, church or synagogue’s efforts can make a significant difference, often raising hundreds or thousands of dollars through these tremendous programs. These funds will enable our ability to continue providing ongoing support to siblings at no cost to the families we serve.
- Make a donation to SuperSibs! at www.supersibs.org in honor of your community’s SuperSibs! children and teens. We will send a special note to each of these siblings about your church/synagogue/temple’s meaningful tribute, honoring their journey.
- Invite your youth (ages 8 or older) to make SuperSibs! Smilecards. These beautiful handmade inspiration cards bring a smile to young and teen siblings when they need it most. We send out approximately 3,000 Smilecards per year… and could never do so without the caring creativity from amazing friends like you. Please note, we do NOT accept cards with any religious references or symbols in the messages or artwork, as we serve families of all different denominations. See Smilecards on our website for more information on how to make these cards.
- Please share your feedback and your photos! Your letters and community support photos are invaluable to share (with your permission) on our website, newsletters and impact communication. Thank you!
