Have you ever thought about the many ways in which you could help other SuperSib kids like you? Did you know that as a SuperSibs! participant, you are among 18,000 brothers and sisters affected each year in the United States? Reaching thousands of siblings who can truly benefit from our free services, not to mention the attention, comfort and recognition that comes with participation, requires tons of skill and energy. Every effort counts. Many of you have asked how you can help!

Here is what some other SuperSib kids have done:

"I started a painted umbrella auction at my school in Pennsylvania. My classmates and I worked together to paint bright, beautiful umbrellas and auction them off to the highest dollar bidders — all to help SuperSibs!"
-Sara

"I set up a lemonade stand to honor my brother, a cancer survivor. I also have setup and maintain several Web sites offering information about neuroblastoma and SuperSibs!, as well as opportunities to donate money online."
-Nick

Here are 10 more ideas for you to help make a difference:
  1. Tell families who have sibs of kids with cancer about SuperSibs! so they can sign their kids up, too.
  2. Host a Smilecard activity at your school, church, synagogue, club, etc.
  3. Wear your SuperSibs! T-Shirt to share and spread the word that sibs are special, too!
  4. Get a team of friends and supporters together to do a walkathon, roller skating evening or bowl-a-thon with sponsors and funds raised supporting SuperSibs!
  5. Encourage your religious school to "adopt" SuperSibs! with their Tzedakah money for a month
  6. If you have a hobby, perhaps build that into an opportunity to make and sell beaded bracelets, cooking, etc.
  7. Encourage your school to support SuperSibs! with collecting change for SuperSibs! for a week
  8. If you wear a uniform to school, ask your school about having a “dress-down-day” with the money going to SuperSibs!
  9. Put on a play, talent show, art show, etc. and charge admission with the proceeds going toward SuperSibs!
  10. Ask your school about holding a dance marathon benefiting SuperSibs!

These ideas can also be wonderful to help educate your classmates, friends and the public about SuperSibs!
