Dear SuperSibs!

Losing my brother was the hardest. After the funeral, what helped me was time. Time passed, with my family guidance, counselors, and friend’s support I finally was able to let my brother go but he’s in my heart forever.

To all the siblings who have lost a brother or sister with cancer, you are really strong and are heroes. Going through the experience is very hard. The ones who are like me, who watched and felt useless because we couldn’t help, shouldn’t feel that way. Imagine what your brother or sister would feel when they know you are grieving over their death. Won’t they hurt just like you when you can’t move on with your life? It will be hard and it will take years, but letting go is what they want best.

Death is hard, but letting go and going on with life is what my brother would have wanted. I know my brother is happy with my accomplishments, and I will never let him down. I will live my life to the fullest, having fun and taking in new experiences. Everyday I will put on a smile and have fun, because I know my brother is watching and protecting over me as my guardian angel.
