Change

This year I’ll be done with a chapter of life,
I’ll surely move on but leave nothing behind.
I’m not sure where I’m going,
I don’t think I’ll ever be.
But, I can see the future and it’s waiting on me.

The past has been rough,
I’ve been tested and sleepless.
But a better time has come,
A time for change and new pieces.

What will change bring?
I can’t know.
But I’ll welcome it freely,
Because there’s no where else to go
